The following notes refer the related species P. terminalis. Pachysandra terminalis Sieb. Et Zucc is widely distributed in Shanxi, Gansu, Sichuan, Hubei, Zhejiang, and other provinces in China (Editorial Committee of Flora of China, 1980). The whole plant of this species is used as a traditional Chinese medicine, known as “Kun Xian Sheng”, for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, chronic tracheitis, leg tendon rotation, and leucorrhoea (Zhai et al., 2012; Zhang et al., 2020a,b).
