Additional Notes

In traditional medicine, the root is anti inflammatory, antiallergic, aphrodisiac, pectoral and stimulant. It is used as a tonic in Korea to increase stamina and also as an expectorant [Medicinal Plants in the Republic of Korea World Health Organisation, Manila 1998].
